Epson Stylus SX218

Looking for a true value for money inkjet printer can be a challenge because the true cost of a printer is in its running costs and cheap printer ink cartridges are nonexistent. Epson’s latest offering the Stylus SX218 are an attractive proposition because there are compatible ink cartridges available which cost a lot less than the genuine Epson products. A set of genuine Epson SX218 ink cartridges will set you back £30 while a set of compatibles are half the price at £15 a set and they last just a long as the originals. The price of the genuine Epson ink cartridges is the only thing that’s wrong with the SX218 and with the availability of cheaper compatibles makes it very difficult to find fault with the SX218. Print output whether your uses genuine or compatible ink cartridges is excellent and far better than anything from any other manufacturers in this price range. The printing speed is not quite so impressive but this is true for most inkjet printers. Being so compact it’s easy to forget that the SX218 is a multifunction device and not just a printer, the A4 flatbed scanner performs well at scanning a variety of documents and comes with photo editing and OCR text recognition software. The photo copier is a convenient function for doing the odd copy now and again but coupled with the fact that it can also print nine sheets at a time and the SX218 slow printing speed make it not best suitable for large qualities on a regular basis. In summary the SX218 is a good value for money multifunction device that performs very well at what it designed to do and it’s possible run it on a tight budget.
